I had the pleasure of having lunch last week with a fellow photographer – Christin of Bozidar Photography. She’s relatively new to the business and especially LOVES to photograph seniors, so if you are interested in booking a senior session, she would be a great person to contact! For a short time too, she’s offering senior sessions for $100 for the session and $300 for the CD of 15 edited images. Great deal! Her website is here = Bozidar Photography.

Here’s some more pics of Lauren from yesterday! We went to the Guthrie/Mill City…
Took some photos w/ my NEW CHAIR from Craig’s list! Been scoring on some used stuff lately!Oh, and Lauren DOES smile! I feel like I’ve taken so many where she looks serious…(which I really do love)…but she has a great smile! Mollie came with us too! She’s already starting to plan out what she wants for her senior photos in two years!

Tried a desaturated look here w/ Sheye’s vintage wash duo tone.

There’s so many cool nooks & crannies in downtown Minneapolis! I really need to shoot down there more!

So for Lauren’s senior photos, my SIL Tammie actually wanted me to go to New York w/ them and take them there…but that didn’t pan out. So I decided it would be fun to do a series of mini senior sessions to get a variety of looks. We did the natural/flowers one here and here…and now the city/grunge stuff here a little. We’re actually going out pretty soon to do some more!

All elements used here are from this talented lady!

Thought the “10″ was cool here since she’s graduating in 2010!

Used Pioneer Woman “seventies” on the faded photo above…

We were walking to the car and I spotted this ‘bebe’ ad on a bus stop thingy. I used Sheye’s “pale and interesting” action here – as well as the cool frame from Dressed in Pink.

Here’s another of the graffitti wall. The guy was actually painting it at the time and people were standing around watching! I had Lauren block him. We didn’t hang out too long since we felt a little silly. Love his work!! Very pretty!
And a last one by the sign. Used Sheye’s vintage wash over a b&w photo. Frame here is by Andrea Burns.

Pink Chair!

So I saw this cool chair on Craig’s list and just HAD to have it! A lady had it for only $5!!! Score!! But whoa, she lived 33 miles from me! So…. 1-1/2hrs later (round trip) and oh, $10 in gas or so….hmmm…yeah, I’d say it was worth it! I really think I’ll like it and use it a lot! So I talked Lauren, Tammie (her mom/my SIL) and Ashley (family friend) into making the trip with me! On the way back, we stopped off on Hennepin Avenue and took photos really quick – like 20 minutes.

Here’s some more of my niece Lauren from last Thursday…used a new “recipe” here – Sheye’s “honeychild” at 55% opacity, then “ruby shoes” – tweaked down the ruby color & opacity about 70%, then “softly” on top – tweaked w/ reduced opacity. The paper on the side is Heather’s Flea Market paper.

used a bunch of stuff here! I can’t even remember now…but I’ll share a little trick with you – I added the lens flare (thanks for showing me a while back Karen!) Go “filter”, “render”, “lens flare”, and I did the 105mm prime at 168% brightness. Then warmed it up as a last step using Pioneer Woman’s warmer – from set 2.cool paper here is from a freebie from this site.
This is the exact same paper – I just changed the hue/saturation. Oh and used PW soft & faded on the photo.paper here is from Heather’s Robin’s Egg mini kit.
Lauren was a great sport! I think all of our ankles were itching like crazy from the weeds/wildflowers. And we were all checking ourselves for wood ticks! eek! But it was all worth it, right? Oh, and btw, when I went to pick up Lauren for pics, Mollie & Derek were in the front yard, so here’s a quick one of them.

Karen & I took Lauren to the wildflowers yesterday. I thought of her right away for this since purple is her favorite color!
Remember how I was explaining relatives on this post? This is Scott’s sister Tammie’s oldest daughter. She’s graduating from high school next year, so I’m going to be doing her senior pics over the summer/fall. I thought it would be fun to do a few mini sessions w/ different themes to get a variety of looks for her. So, you’ll be seeing more of her to come!
